My son previously created an art piece called Patterns, (which is in the Reflection on the Lockdown Experience blog post). He decided that the blueberries were the main focus of the image, so renamed it Blueberry Crush.
A few days later, he had an idea to create a collective art project made up of eight canvases. (Each canvas is 20cm by 20cm).
Using felt tip pens, my son began to explore the different lines, shapes, and patterns, with fruit as the main focus on each canvas.
My son experimented with his ideas, using an infusion of bright colours. He also used a ruler to draw at different angles, forming shapes flowing in different directions, which created a visual movement.
Here are the art pieces on their own, including titles that my son came up with:
- Blueberry Crush
- Watermelon Summer
- Raspberries and Strawberries
- Banana Split
- Apple Delight
- Orange Burst
- Grapefruit Stripe
- Pineapple Blast
Each art piece is beautiful on their own but elevated combined.
